As I’ve watched and coached people over the years, I’ve come to understand one reason many with great talent and ability fail to succeed. They allow themselves to detour from their vision and goals, and become bogged down in trifles. As one person put it, they major in minors.
You’ll discover as I have that to press the “pause button” on your quest for success, so you can change every little thing that goes awry, is not worth the effort. The key is to keep your mind centered on the larger vision.
Remember, complete your number one priority each day; then you’ll find sufficient time to fix the little things that irritate you. Be persistent in the big picture and often the little things take care of themselves.
